Ada Ellen Woodcock of Mountain Home died Thursday (Sept. 8, 1994), at Baxter Manor in Mountain Home. She was 91.
Mrs. Whiteaker was born Oct. 19, 1902, at Pineville, Ark. She married Otis Whiteaker on March 4, 1928, at Calico Rock. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church at Calico Rock.
She is survived by her husband, Otis Whiteaker, of the home; one daughter, Willa Cope of Mountain Home; one son, Edward Whiteaker of Mountain Home; two sisters, Dolly Staggs of Flippin, and Thelma Boyd of Norfork; one brother, Wayne Woodcock of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Gary and Rebecca Whiteaker, both of Emporia, Kan., and Steve and Stephanie Cope, both of Mountain Home; and four great-grandchildren, Amy and Aaron Whiteaker, both of Emporia, Kan., and Ryan and Kyle Cope, both of Mountain Home; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 pm Sunday in the Howard Chapel at Calico Rock, with Remil Layton officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mike Pool, Gerald Wyatt, Billy Gene Killian, Troyce May, Orbie Whiteaker, and E. C. Whiteaker. Burial will be in Staggs Cemetery at Calico Rock under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
