June Caldwell Hartley Roy of Vale, Oregon, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at Pioneer Place in Vale. Funeral services were held March 1st 2010 at the Vale, Oregon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, with burial at Vale Valley View Cemetery, Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services in the Relief Society Room of the church.

June was born Dec. 1, 1921, in Dry Fork. She was born to parents; Burton and Lola Caldwell. She was raised and educated in the Dry Fork area with her eight brothers and sister.

She met Ralph Hartley and married him on May 10, 1942, in Salt Lake City. A short time later, they moved to Oregon and raised their family in the Vale area. She drove school buses in vale for 28 years and was known by her passenger as "Grandma June."

On Feb. 16, 1993, Ralph passed away. She married Herb Roy in April 1995, and they enjoyed each other until her health prohibited. She then resided at the nursing home in Vale. June enjoyed life to the fullest with her family and friends.

She is survived by husband, Herb Roy; her children, Ray and Diana Hartley, of Ontario, Oregon Nancy and Marlin Johnson, of Caldwell, Idaho, Penny Kenison, of Ontario, Oregon and Kris and Ron Pressley, of Vale, Oregon. Her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, are Doug Oats; Kim Hartley; Jeff, Toby (Annie) and Cory Johnson; Carmen Westre; Carey June and Casey (Brenda) Kenison; Tamie (Dan) Capron; Stepheni (Jamie) Gray; Meshell (Jim) Schaffeld; Kate, Jennifer and Charles Pressley; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughter; two stepsons, Lyle (Jeanie) and Lynn (Alice) Roy, both of Boise, Idaho; two sister-in-law, Beth Sweeted and Billie Caldwell of Vernal; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Charles "Ralph" on infant daughter, Dianna; both parents; four brothers; four sisters; and her very dear and special friend Kim Kamo.

She will truly missed by her family, friends and all the children she delivered home safely at night. Ray always said "mom love me the most." (Ya right!)
