Mr Browder, 74, was born in Greeleyville, SC, a son of Butler Browder and Josephine Mitchum Browder. He was a member of James Island Baptist Church. He was a retired millman at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was employed by Wagner Lunber Co. He was a veteran of Of Army service in WWI.
Surviving are his widow, Mamie Owens Browder; four sons, Edward C Browder, Caswell W Browder, Jr and Archie B Browder, all of Charleston; John T Browder with the US Air Force in Thailand; 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
