She married James Eugene Hampton in April 1949. An abridged version of her obituary follows:
"Lora Marie (Hull) Hampton, 78, died on March 8, 2010. She was a resident of The House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown, NJ. Lora was born on August 30, 1931 to Ropha and Gladys Hull in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City in 1949. She married James Eugene (Gene) Hampton and they lived in 8 states and 7 foreign countries; they were part of the original "oil pioneering for offshore drilling" that took them all over the world in the mid 1960's. Lora is survived by her sister, Joanne Salmon of Midwest City, OK; son, Michael Joseph of Enid, OK; son, Jerald Eugene and his wife Glenda, of Hopatcong, NJ; and son, James Ropha of Dallas, TX. Lora has 9 grandchildren, Rebecca, Lora and Laban, from her eldest son, Michael; Myranda and her husband, Luis, Jeremy and his wife, Jill, and Timothy, from her middle son, Jerald; and Aaron, Jennifer and her husband, Ethan, and Joshua, from her youngest son, James. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Eugene Hampton and sister, Jeanette Walker. Her life can be remembered as having a fierce loyalty to her family, a great passion for reading, in particular the Bible and for a great love for the romantic, color and trying new ideas.
