R. E. HUNTER, SR.
Last rites were held Feb. 8 at the Vinita Ave. Church of Christ for R. E. Hunters, sr., 91, who died Feb. 6 at Sulphur. N. L. Trice officiated. Interment was in Palmer Cemetery with arrangements by Clagg Funeral Home.
Born March 31, 1888, in Georgia, he had lived the majority of his life in the Sulphur area. He married Leora Embree Feb. 18, 1906 at Palmer. He was a retired owner and operator of a service station.
He is survived by his wife, Leora, of the home; two daughters, Oma Ellis, Sulphur, and Cleathel Chilcoat, Boulder City Nevada; two sons, R. E. Hunter, jr., Wynnewood, and Onnel Hunter, Sulphur; one sister, Ruth Swaim, Canyon City, Colorado; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
