George D. (Don) Barrett, 71 of Magee, MS, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at home in Magee, Miss.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, at Dry Creek Baptist Church in Magee. Burial will be in Dry Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Barrett taught the Adult 3 Sunday school class, a member of the Church choir, a member of American Legion and a member of Oak Hill #553 Lodge in Magee.
Proceeded in death by parents, Earl Barrett and Zona Keys Barrett and brother, Roberta K. Barrett.
Survivors Include: wife, Lena Hosey Barrett, Magee; daughters, Pat (Preston) Maddox, Magee, Kaye (Ricky) Herrington, Mendenhall, Theresa (Philip) Dueitt, Petal, Sherry (Wendell) Anderson, Magee; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Roma (Chuck) Barrett, Union; and brother, Jethro (Ruby) Barrett, Philadelphia.
