DEATH OF MRS. RACHAEL ABBITT.
Mrs. Rachael Abbitt, aged almost 83, died at 8:45 Monday night at her home, corner of Madison and 6th street, after an illness of more than two weeks.
A complication of diseases resulted in her death. Mrs. Abbitt was born Jan. 31st 1830. She united with the Methodist church at Belmont 30 years ago and has since lead [sic] a Christian life. She was the mother of 8 children, two of whom are surviving, Nathan Abbitt, this city and Andrew Abbitt, of Ellettsville. Funeral will be held at the residence Wednesday at 10 o'clock in charge of Rev. Joseph Campbell. Interment at Rose Hill.
