My Passing

To my wife, my family, my friends.

I am not dead,I did not die,

I only passed from earth to sky.

From dark to light,my soul took flight,

It's beautiful here, what a wonderous sight.

The face of Jesus I can see,

The happiness we will have, when you all can join me.

The grief you feel, will soon abide,

Beleive that I am free from pain,

In God's heaven we are all free again.

The Policeman's Lament

The old retired officer stood at the pearly gates with face worn and old,

then meekly ask the man of fate for addmission to enter the fold.

What have you done St. Peter ask, to seek addmission here?

I was a Marion, IN. police officer for many many a year.

The gates moved open very sharply,as St. Peter tolled the bell,

Come in and take a harp, he said,

Youv'e had enough of hell!
