Bonnie Burton Wilcox, 75, of Orange, Texas died Friday, May 17, 2002 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 20, at North Orange Baptist Church.
Officiating will be the church pastor; the Rev. Lynn Ashcraft. Burial will follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at Claybar Funeral Home.

A native and lifelong resident of Orange, Mrs. Wilcox was a homemaker. She was a member of North Orange Baptist Church and of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She served on the board of directors for the Orange Historical Society and was a member of the Heritage House Museum Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vertis Clement Burton and Ruth Jessie Eddleman Burton and her brother, Jerome Eddleman Burton.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Wilcox of Orange, two sons, Kenneth Wilcox of Orange and J.E. Wilcox of Hooks, Texas; two daughters, Nancy Peveto of Buna, Texas, Connie Ruth Fipps of Orange, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randy McLlwain, Jason Gibson, Duke Daigle, Austin Elder, Larry Crumpton, Chris Barker, Drew Wilson and Dave Wilcox.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage House Museum at 905 W. Division Street, Orange, Texas 77630.
