Dorothy Lois Perkins, age 82, a long time Gwinnett resident, passed away on Wednesday, December 02, 2009 after a long illness.
She retired from Gwinnett County Department of Family and Children Services, as a social worker after 22 years of service.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Elmer S. Perkins; daughters, Cheryl Chanady & her husband, Bill of Port St. Lucie, FL, Valorie Peevy & her husband Wayne of Hoschton, GA, Nancy Bryans & her husband, Joseph of Covington, GA; son, E. Scott Perkins & his wife, Janet of Dacula, GA; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Vanessa Johnson of Suwanee, GA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Rev. Tony Long, officiating. Interment will be at McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville. Flowers accepted or those desiring can make memorial contributions to Quinn House, 120 S.
