Mrs. Alvin Diggs of North H street, Fairbury, Neb., died Aug. 31, 1964, in a local hospital at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 28 days.
Anna Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Peterson, was born Nov. 3, 1882 near Endicott, Neb., and lived nearly her entire life in Jefferson county.
On Dec. 30, 1908 she was married to Alvin Diggs, and to them one son was born.
Surviving are her husband, Alvin, Son, Lester of Hiawatha, Kas.; two sisters, Mrs. Ira Mann of Riverside, Calif., and Mrs. Martha Van Ness of Beatrice, five grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon in the First Church of God with Pastor L. A. Ethridge officiating. Miss Janet Ethridge was soloist and Mrs. Jack Snyder, organist. Pallbearers were Joe Bishop, Joe Cacak, Ralph Gobel, Joe Huber, Henry Pavlicek and Jack Snyder. Burial was in the Fairbury cemetery.
