ROXBORO -- Dillie Mae Reams Mangum, age 82, of 173 Somerset Drive, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at her home.
She was born in Nash County to the late Lee Roy Reams and Malissa Manning Reams. She was a former resident of Durham.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Clarence Mangum.
She was also preceded in death by her four brothers, J.P., Billy Roy, John Thomas, and Haywood Lee Reams. She was retired from the American Tobacco Company after 27 years of employment.
Surviving are two daughters, Joanne Mangum Russell and husband, Harry, of Roxboro, Heidi Mangum Turner, of Hermitage, Tenn.; one sister, Elizabeth Jane Harper and husband, Roger, of Tarboro; one brother, Douglas Reams and wife, Helen, of Edgemoor, S.C.; three grandchildren, Dannie Russell and wife, Cindy, Corey Russell, and Hannah Turner; three great-grandchildren, Lance Russell, Brice Russell, and Danielle Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. James Fortner. Burial will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Reams, Wallace Reams, Mark Turner, Buck Russell, Mark Blalock, and Ronnie Porterfield.
