William Harvey Day was the great grandson of William Day, Sr and Dicy Cross Day who were early settlers in St Helena Parish, La., along with Williams brother, Thomas.
William and Dicy donated the land for Days Methodist Church which exists to this day. There is also a cemetery located there.
