Carole Ann Goodspeed, age 71, of Alma, MI died Saturday, March 6th, 2010 at St. Marys Hospital in Saginaw, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Wednesday, March 10th at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Mary Anne Evans-Justin will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.

Carole was born on September 21, 1938, the daughter of Grant and Dianna (Spaur) Reynolds. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1957. She married James Warren Goodspeed on May 23, 1958 at the St. Louis First United Methodist Church. Carole was a lifelong resident of the area. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and loved attending sporting events. She and her husband also loved to travel. Carole was a member of the Beebe United Methodist Church, and attended the Ithaca Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge #1566. She retired from Laurels of Fulton as a Director of Nursing, Tendercare of Mt. Pleasant, Ashley Care Center, and Wilcox Nursing Home.

She is survived by her husband James W. Goodspeed of Alma, MI; son James M. and Malinda Goodspeed of Ithaca, MI; son Jon H. and Laurie Goodspeed of Breckenridge, MI; daughter Jayne A. and Bill Swisher of St. Louis, MI; 7 grandchildren Nathan, Derek, Kolton, Grant, Ebin, Josalyn, and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her father Grant Reynolds, mother Diana Ross, stepfather Merlyn Ross, brother Don Reynolds, 2 grandsons Caleb Howard and Calis Grant Goodspeed, and her parents in law Howard and Myrtle Goodspeed.
