Jaocb Appel, aged 72, died Saturday
at his home in Brownsville
from internal injuries sustained
when his horse ran away and he
was thrown from his wagon to the
ground. A passing automobile
frightened the horse and the old
gentleman in losing control of
the animal was tossed from the hay
rack on the wagon to the ground
with such force as to cause severe
Injuries which resulted in his-death
a few hours latter. He was a
veteran of the Civil war, and for
the past 60 years has lived at
Brownsville. He leaves a widow
and several children,
