BURKE - Funeral services were held May 15 for Mrs. Helmer Hanson, 49, Herrick, who died May 10. The Rev. D. D. Laude, Burke, officiated at the services held in Grace Lutheran Church. Alice Belle Hanson was born Aug. 2, 1908 at Bonesteel. She was the daughter of the late Guy Hoar and Cora Ginger Hoar. She was united in marriage to Helmer Hanson on September 19, 1927. After their marriage they lived on a farm about 10 miles north of Herrick for about 20 years. The family then moved to a farm between Burke and Herrick, and since had made this their home. Survivors include her widower, Helmer, one daughter, Mrs. Albert Adam, Pickstown; two sons, Donald of Elgin, Neb., and Doler of Lucas; her mother, Mrs. Cora Hoar, Herrick; one brother, Robert Hoar of Herrick; three sisters, Mrs. John Faust, Lucas; Mrs. Leo Smizer, Herrick and Mrs. George Stine, Elgin, Ore., and seven grandchildren.
