Emily Elizabeth Whitehurst was the daughter of William Lyndon and Mae Murphy Whitehurst. She married Fred Walke August 1921.
VIRGINIA BEACH -
Emily Elizabeth Whitehurst Walke, 65, of 4312 Two Woods Road, died Friday in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of Mrs. Mae M. Whitehurst of Virginia Beach. She was a member of Bayside Baptist Church.
Besides her mother, survivors include a son, Randolph L. Walke of Nashua, N.H., a sister, Mrs. Grace W. Bowden of Virginia Beach, and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. David Henry. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The famiy suggest memorials to the Tidewater Heart Association.
