Lloyd W. Prosser, 79, Michigan City, passed away at 6 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at St. Anthony Memorial.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of All Saints Church, with the Rev. Terrence Chase officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Root Funeral Home and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of All Saints Church. A wake service is a 4 p.m. Monday at Root Funeral Home.
Lloyd was born March 31, 1930, to the late Charles and Julia (Green) Prosser. On Oct. 14, 1961, in Michigan City, he married Patricia Saturday, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ryan Prosser, Michigan City, and Randy Prosser, Los Angeles; two grandchildren, Justin and Kylie Prosser, both of Virginia; one brother, Ronald Prosser, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were three sisters, Aimee Beach, Grace Georges and Wilma Mazac; and four brothers, Dale, Robert, Ralph and Willis.
Lloyd retired from South Bend Freight after 30 years of service as a truck driver. He was a member of Queen of All Saints Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2536. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
