C.C. Garvin, 79, 709 S. Robey, Fritch, died Tuesday in Heritage Center in Amarillo.

A retired maintenance foreman for Pioneer Natural Gas Co., he was a native of Shackelford County, Texas, and a Fritch resident for 30 years.

He was a sergeant for the USAF in WWII, and a member of the Lake Meredith Baptist Church, Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge 1369, and a 32nd Degree Mason, Khiva Shrine Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Meady Garvin of the home; two brothers, James Garvin of Albany, Bill Garvin of Azle; two sisters, Evelyn Trice of O'Brian, Elsie Simmons of Andrews.

Funeral services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

FRITCH - Graveside services for C.C. Garvin, 79, Fritch, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the rev. Brad Foster pastor Lake Meredith Baptist Church, officiating.

Masonic graveside services will be held under the auspices of the Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge No. 1369.

Burial will be by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Mr. Garvin died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 1990 in Heritage Center in Amarillo.

A native of Shackelford County, Texas, he had been a Fritch resident for 30 years. He was a retired maintenance foreman for Pioneer Natural Gas Company.

He was a sergeant for the USAF in World War II, and a member of Lake Meredith Baptist Church, Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge 1369, and 1 32nd degree Mason, and Khiva Shrine Temple.

Survivos [sic] include his wife, Meady Garvin of the home two brothers James Garvin of Albany; Bill Garvin of Azle; two sisters, Evelyn Trice of O'Brian, and Elsie Simmons of Andrews.
