Olive Smith Hotchkiss was born on 16 Aug 1831 in Windsor, Broome Co, NY, the daughter of Stiles Hotchkiss and Lydia Ward Beecher.

Olive was also the younger sister of Jedediah V. Hotchkiss, Confederate Map Maker for Stonewall Jackson during the Civil War.

She married Mr. David T. Bound circa 1852 in Windsor, Broome Co, NY, the son of David Bound, Jr. and Mary Polly Brown.

David was a Superintendent for the Railroad.

She died on 13 Feb 1853 in Loderville, Luzerne Co, PA, aged 21y 05m 28d.

David went on to marry Olive's older sister Janette Moke Hotchkiss on 31 Dec 1854 and they had two children: Sarah Lydia and William Stiles. Janette died 24 Apr 1863 in Scranton, Luzerne Co, PA.

David then went on to marry three more times to Lucinda Beecher, Margaret Hazlett Stackhouse and Clara Sevison.
