Joan Rebecca "Becky" Farnworth returned home to her Heavenly Father and the welcoming arms of her mother and father, Monday, Nov. 15, 2004.
She was born December 22, 1940 in Provo, Utah. She married Virgil Steggell April 16, 1958. They were later divorced. She had a big heart, full of love for all those around her. The great loves of her life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. We will all miss her great smile and loving eyes.
Joan loved music and had a special gift for playing the organ and piano. Her hobbies included traveling and helping the needy. She had a special testimony and loved the gospel.
She is survived by three sons and three daughters, Ty Farnworth, Virgil Steggell, Rob (Virginia) Steggell, Teressa (Franciso) Sanchez, Cindy Childs and Georgianna Kinkle; her brother, Blaine (Merlene) Farnworth; her sisters, Rita Hales, Eileen (Dale) Bott; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers, Burt and Bryron "Mugs" Farnworth; and a grandson, Cody Steggell.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 23rd, at 11 a.m. in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, where friends and family may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial, Orem City Cemetery.
The family would like to give special thanks to East Lake Care Center and her many, many friends there, especially her patio buddies.
