Judge Amos Oller was born April 16, 1856 near Hornsby, Macoupin county, being a son of Perry C. Oller, who died in this city a few years ago. His mother died when he was 5 years old. When Amos was a very young child his father went to scout among the Indians, and the son became self made and a well educated man.
He married Miss Ida Huddleston, a daughter of a Macoupin county farmer.
