Juanita was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. She spent much of her adult life in Northern Virginia and Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Mattingly. Following Howards death in 1984, Juanita moved permanently to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. Juanita enjoyed participating in a variety of cultural events, the Norfolk Forum, and Adult Education. Juanita is survived by her two sons, a daughter and their families; John Mattingly and his wife Laura Mattingly of Fairfax Station, VA, Joan A. Neely and her husband Joe of Virginia Beach, VA and Jeffrey A. Mattingly and his wife Amanda Mattingly of Ashburn, VA. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Jenny Mattingly, Joseph Neely, Jaman Mattingly, Alison Neely, James Mattingly, Michael Mattingly and Mary Molly Mattingly. A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Lloyd Fund, Martha Lloyd Community Services, 190 West Main Street, Troy, PA 16947.
