2 MEN ARE KILLED IN DAY ON R.,F.& P.
Andrew Lynn, of Dumfries, Loses Life At Quantico Crossing.
The second fatality in the space of a few hours occurred on the R.F.&P. R.R. yesterday when Andrew Lynn, of Dumfries, was instantly killed at the Potomac Avenue grade crossing in Quantico when struck by southbound train 71 shortly after 4 p.m.
Witnesses said Lynn, a Spanish War veteran, was walking leisurely across the tracks as the train bore down upon him but made no apparent effort to avoid being struck. He was hit by the engine and his body hurled a considerable distance.
The body was taken to the Marine post morgue to await funeral arrangements. He is survived by two daughters, Ruby and Ruth, and a brother, A. A. Lynn, of Accotink.
A former Fredericksburger, Thomas Barker, 47, was killed by an R.F.&P. train near Summit early Monday morning.
