ROY – Warren Keith Kraft, 61, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 26, 2008.
He was born September 23, 1946 in Buffalo, New York, a son of Robert and Carole Kraft.
He married Vicki Archer October 28, 1966 in Clarksville, Tennessee.
After graduating from high school in Great Falls, Montana, Warren joined the U.S. Army where he became a "Screaming Eagle", having served his country in the 101st Airborne Division during the first tour of the Vietnam War. He was nicknamed "The Iron Man" because he never took a break during his tour of duty.
Warren graduated from Weber State with a BS degree in Physics. He worked at China Lake Naval Weapons Testing Center and retired from Hill Air Force Base.
Warren was most proud of his family and of his service in the military. He was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served on the Board of Education and the Board of Elders.
He is survived by his wife Vicki, his two sons Robert and Steven, Steven's family Andrea and Ashley, and his father Robert Kraft.
He was preceded in death by his mother Carole.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3329 Harrison Blvd., Ogden.
Friends of the family may call at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to services.
Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
The family would like to thank their friends and all the medical staff for the kindness they showed to Warren and his family during his illness.
