A native of Coffee County and a son to the late Farrell Reavis Pittman, Sr. and Madeline C. Tallevast Pittman.
He lived in St. Mary's for several years before moving to Waycross in 1974. Mr. Pittman owned and operated the T&R Oil Company. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served as the Treasurer and was a member of the John Wesley Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Okefenokee Lions Club and a Past YMCA and BB&T Board Member. Mr. Pittman was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

his two children: Tracy Pittman and his wife Linda, Waycross,
Renee Giedl and her husband Bill, Waycross;
four grandchildren:
Caleb Pittman, Lindsay Giedl, Chandler Giedl and Bennett Pittman;
one brother, David Pittman, Holiday, FL;
one uncle, Fred Dowling, Hoboken; several other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
The family requests the John Wesley Sunday School Class, Okefenokee Lions Club and the Mountain Beach Group to serve as Honorary Pallbearers and should meet at the church by 2:40 Sunday afternoon for the service.
