While employed by Hunt Wesson he received special recognition from the company for selling one million cases of Hunt products in 1971. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Fullerton Lodge.
Survivors: Nila, his wife of 55 years; son, Richard (Sukie) Adams of Orange; daughter, Annette (Sgt. Major Kenneth) Raatz of Laurel, Maryland; three grandchildren, Jennifer Adams of Provo, Utah, Brian and Nicholas Raatz of Laurel, Maryland.
