Gene C. Hagans, age 84, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1954, passed away on October 13, 2006. Gene was born on December 20, 1921 at Fowler, Colorado, a son of the late George Carter and Clara Jackson Hagans. Gene was a Purchasing Manager for Colorado Interstate Gas, having retired after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and was called back to service during the Korean Conflict. Gene was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Southern Colorado Consistory, Charter member of Fountain Valley Masonic Lodge #191; he was also a member of Al Kaly Shrine, Kalyvairs and the American Legion. Gene is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Coburn Hagans; children: Earl ( Allene) Hagans of Elizabeth, Colorado, Carl (Andy) Hagans of Pueblo, Colorado, Marcia (Jerry) Allin of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a sister, Clara Kennedy of Portland, Oregon; brother, James Hagans; six grandsons; and 12 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2006 at Calvary United Methodist Church 4210 Austin Bluffs Parkway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or Pikes Peak Hospice through the funeral home office.
