Mrs. Sturgis was born in York County and was the daughter of the late Charles Cooper and Marion Patton Cornwell. She attended Furman University and was preceded in death by her husband Charles Marion Sturgis. She had been a member of Oakland Baptist Church and former owner of Rock Hill Feed and Supply Co.
Survivors include: one daughter, Martha Marion Sturgis Bradley of Rock Hill; one sister, Doris Cornwell McFadden of Catawba; three grandchildren, Bill Bradley of Charlotte; Kim Bradley Jolly of Rock Hill; Chip Bradley of Chicago, Ill; and three great-grandchildren, Rob Jolly of Rock HIll, Cooper Jolly of Rock Hill and Josh Bradley of Charlotte.
Memorials may be made to: Oakland Baptist Church or to the Junior Welfare League Scholarship Fund.
