She married her husband John on Dec. 16, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii and recently celebrated 31 years of marriage. Mrs. Bailey owned and operated her own business, Bailey's Ceramics for 20 years. Together with her husband, she was an avid gardener who provided a garden that was admired by many people which resulted in flower sales and happiness to all. She also loved camping, fishing and cooking.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by a daughter Shannon Bailey, Superior; an adopted son, Shawne Sass, Superior; eight grandchildren, Jesse, Savannah, Catrina, David, Theresa, Misty, Zachary, and Levi; a brother, Ralph Human, in Nevada; five sisters, Flo Andvick, Seattle, Clara Whitney, in Michigan, Fran McKee, Seattle, Alice Heikkila, Superior and Vicky Walman, Superior; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Wallace; her mother Mary Hammer-Human; three brothers, Johnny, Frank and Tony Human; and four sisters, Ester Burton, Anna Woods, Rosa Schuman and Mary Krych.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Saturday until the 1:30 p.m. funeral in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Goebel, pastor of Faith United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shawne Sass, Kevin Feiro, Connie and Tom Bottolfsen and Peter and Wendy Bosl.
