Ardith Arnold Best, 92, formerly of Los Angeles, died at 2:05 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010, at Wesley Manor in Frankfort, Indiana,where she had been a resident since 2000.
She was born Aug. 10, 1917 in Logansport, Indiana, to the late Edward W. and Leah C. Wise Arnold. On Feb. 21, 1962, she married Newton Harrison Best in Los Angeles, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2001.
Also surviving are 2 nephews, Ed Arnold (Debbie) of LaPorte and Ken Arnold (Susan) of Gurnee, Il.; 8 nieces, Joyce Brubaker (Joe) of Kokomo, Beverly Leiner of Palm Harbor, Fl., Marcia Bogan (Greg) of Carmel, Linda Berry (Tom) of Woodstock, Ga., Becky Shimel (Larry), Betty Wampler (Steve), Barbara Matthew (John) and Beverly Astel (John), all of California.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Arnold and a sister, Ione Meek.
