Death of Mrs. Lewis Perry.

Amelia, wife of Lewis Perry, died Friday, October 12, at her home in Centerville, at the age of 34 years, 10 months. Mrs. Perry had been ill of the white plague, consumption, for many months, but her cheerful, courageous temperament surmounted the pangs of the disease. The mother of four children, Mrs. Perry was chiefly a home maker and her interests were centered in the welfare of her husband and children.

Besides the husband, she is survived by four children, Florence, Ralph, Myron and Leslie, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Caviaro, of the immediate relatives. Amelia was the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Dimmick of this town, being one of a family of eight children. Mrs. Caviaro is now the sole survivor of the family.

The funeral occurred Sunday at 2 o'clock at the house. Rev. H. T. Torosyan officiated. Mr. Asa W. Stevens sang two selections, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and "Jesus Lover of My Soul." Several beautiful floral pieces were arranged about the casket. There were many people from out of town in attendance, principally from Wareham and Falmouth. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Aaron S. and Gorham F. Crosby, E. P. Childs and Ed. Hallett. Interment was at Beechwood. Mrs. Caviaro, who has been for eight years in the Salvation Army of Boston, where she earned the commission of lieutenant, will care for the motherless children.
