Birth records in Preble Township show that he was given the name "Oscar Adolph" but most records show just "Adolph" or "Adolph G." He was the son of Tollef M. and Gunild (Anderson) Olson.

Adolph married Mathilda Norby 1 Jul 1914 in Choice, Fillmore, MN and was a farmer in that area until he retired in 1959. He and Mathilda were members of the Highland Lutheran Church. Two children not listed in the direct links are:
