KINSLEY - Mrs. Sarah Jane Weese, 95, of Kinsley, died at the Edwards County
Hospital here at about noon Monday after a long illness. Born Nov. 28, 1869 in
Oregon County, Mo., she moved to this community in 1884. She married Daniel F.
Weese Dec. 17, 1890, in Edwards County. He died in 1910. She was a member of
the Pentecostal Church of Kinsley. Survivors include sons, Olav, Cullison,
Danny, DeSoto, Kan., and Wilfred, Kinsley; daughters, Mrs. Neva Gresham,
Ashland, Ore., Mrs. Ruby Ritchey, Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mrs. Lavida Blackburn,
Rogers, Ark.; sisters, Mrs. Cora Sultz, Elbert, Colo., Mrs. Rose Newlin, Rocky
Ford, Colo., and Mrs. Myrtle McCarty, Muncy, Pa.; brother James McCarter, Sun
Valley, Nev.; 34 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, and five
great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the McKillip Funeral
Home, Kinsley at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Hugh Morris officiating.
Burial will be in the Trotter Cemetery, Centerview.
