Son of Alvah Sloper & Pheobe Wright, brother of Roy M. & Frances (Hall) Sloper.

He died in an accident where he was to get a team of oxen to go to a neighboring farm, and somehow became tangled in the chains and was dragged for about 3 miles. He had a broken neck.
