Anthony A. Asci, of Brockton, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Agnes D. (Traynor) Asci and the companion of the late Anna Hermiston. Born Nov. 12, 1923 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Cesidio Asci and Madeline (Iacobacci) Asci. Raised in Brockton he attended Brockton Schools. He served proudly in the United States Army Combat Engineers Division. Mr. Asci along with his brothers owned and operated Asci Brothers Builders in Brockton for over 50 years. He also was a State Worker for Massachusetts. He enjoyed body building, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his children, Michael Asci of Brockton and Jean Kelleher and her husband John of West Tisbury; his grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Kelleher; his nieces Marie and Paula Asci; he is also survived by several cousins. He was the brother of the late Paul Asci and Americo Asci. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. followed by a prayer service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
