Jonathan Sanborn was born May 25, 1672 at Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire to John and Margaret Page Sanborn. He married Elizabeth Sherburne February 4, 1691 at Hampton and their children were: Elizabeth, Samuel, Achaicus (a daughter), Margaret, Jonathan Jr., Love, Dorothy, Dorothy (again), Sarah, John, Benjamin and Mary. He was a leading man in Kingston, New Hampshire and between 1724 - 1726, he was a well-known Captain of a Company and an Indian fighter during the Indian Wars. Jonathan died June 20, 1741, aged 69, at Hampton and was buried in the Plains Cemetery at Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.
