Social and Personal Notes...
A shadow of gloom was cast over the town Sunday morning upon the receipt of a telegram announcing the death of Mr. George English who, for several weeks, had been ill at his home in Robeline. This news brought tears of the purest depth to almost every heart and eye. We feel that we have sustained a personal loss, as does every one whose privilege it was to know his generous, noble disposition. The remains, accompanied by several members of his family, arrived Sunday after noon, where sorrowing relatives and a concourse of friends gathered at the cemetery, in token of respect to his memory and appreciation of his character and untimely loss. To the bereaved family is extended the sympathy of many friends.
Many thanks to contributor Yon Hafer (47288192) for his submission of Mr. English's death notice.
