Mrs. Fairfax, 93, died Nov. 20, 2001, at King's Daughters Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 20, 1908, to James Walter McKee and Lula Smith McKee.
She was an interior decorator. She was a former secretary for First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the D.A.R. and Matinee Musicale Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Randolph Fairfax; and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors are her nieces, Florene McKee Reese, Janice McKee Wallace, Gloria McKee Broadwater, Sally McKee Schutz, and Judie McKee; and her nephews, James Walter McKee II, James Boyce McKee, Fred C. McKee, and James Stephen McKee.
