Mrs. Painter was the daughter of the late Henry and Angeline Petefish Painter and was born in Stanley October 18, 1879. Her husband, Frank L. Painter, preceded her in death in 1951. She was a member of the Stanley S.D.A. Church.
She is survived by two sons, Elvin L. Painter, of Stanley and Ermon C. Painter, of Front Royal; two daughters, Mrs. Edna M. Blosser, of Stanley and Mrs. Margaret Mayes, of Takoma Park, Md.; one brother, Elmer Petefish, of Stanley; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Stanley Adventist Church with the Rev. W.P. Schooley officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
