North - Manning Percy Reed, 71, of died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002. The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at First Baptist Church of North, with the Rev. Larry Shull and the Rev. Dan Boineau officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
Mr. Reed was born in North, a son of the late Marion P. and Floride O'Brien Reed. He was a retired electrician, had served in the National Guard and was a member of First Baptist Church of North. He was married to the late Eleanor West Reed.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Reed of Lexington and Marvin Reed of North; and three grandchildren. The family is at the home of Marvin Reed, 489 Addison Road, North and will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home.
