Lula Beatrice Ballard, 85, of Bellmead, Texas, passed away Sunday Feb. 28, 2010, at her residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Dale Strickland officiating. Burial will be at Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the funeral home.
Bea was born in Axtell, Texas, to the late Ira and Dallie Parrish. She married Willie Eugene Ballard on Aug. 4, 1939, and was a homemaker and a member of Bellmead Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband on October 6, 1989; and two daughters, Gail Winkelmann and Becky Cox.
Survivors include daughters, Pat McAdams, Linda McAdams, and Nancy Strickland; sons, Jimmy, Mark, Jeff, Russell, Bruce, Benny, and Tim Ballard; 46 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Opal Beard and Louise Harris; and many other family members and friends.
