CLAUDE - Services for James Troy "J.T." Crawford, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Brown, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger by Claude Smith Funeral Home of Panhandle.

Mr. Crawford died Monday in Amarillo.

The body will lie in state at First Baptist Church in Claude from 11:30 a.m. to service time on Thursday.

The family requests memorials be made to St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center or the Claude EMTS.

James "J.T." Crawford, 71, Rt. 1, Box 81 in Claude, died at 1:15 p.m. Monday in St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo.

A retired truck driver for Panhandle Pipe and Steel, he was a native of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and a Borger resident since 1936. He moved to Claude in 1984.

He was a Baptist.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice, Life Enrichment or Claude EMT Service.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; one son, Bobby of Amarillo; a step-son, Chris Jenkins of Batesville, Ark., a step-daughter, Pamela Jenkins of Clarendon; his mother, Vera Ann Crawford of Pauls Valley, Okla., two brothers, Manuel P. Crawford and Muriel Crawford of Amarillo, four sisters, Madge Ridling of Borger, Mary Ann Ch[e]rnek of Phoenix, Ariz., Lois Farley and Ruth Kirk[e]ndall, both of Pauls Valley, Okla.; two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great grandchild and two step-great grandchildren.

Services are pending with Smith Funeral Home of Panhandle.
