Anne was the daughter of Gov. John Webster (of Connecticut) and his wife, Agnes Smith Webster.

The family first settled in Watertown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts. John then moved his family to Hartford, Connecticut in 1636, as one of the original landowners in Hartford.

Anne married John Marsh about 1642 in Hartford, Connecticut. They had eight children: John, Joseph (died in infancy), Joseph, Samuel, Jonathan, Daniel, Hannah and Grace.

The family attended the First Congregational Church of Hartford. After a religious dispute, in 1659 John took a group of dissenters to Northampton, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts. It appears that Anne was with them.

After Anne's death, her husband married Hepzibah Ford Lyman in 1664.
