Helen Mae Lowrey, age 78, of 529 Marksville Road in Stanley, Va. died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mrs. Lowrey was born Nov. 28, 1926 in Stanley and was the daughter of the late Olen Dinges and Beulah Mae Short Dinges. She was a homemaker.
In 1945, she married Clifton Luther Lowrey Jr., who preceded her in death March 31, 1999.
She is survived by a son, Clifton L. Lowrey III of Stanley; a daughter, Carolyn A. Purdham of Luray; three granddaughters, Robin Ann Dovel of Stanley, Pat Offenbacker of Churchville and Dennis Crosby of Waynesboro; five Great-grandchildren, Holly Bailey and L. J. Bailey both of Stanley, Tiffany Crosby of Waynesboro, Daniel Offenbacker and Chaslie Offenbacker, both of Churchville and a great-great-granddaughter, Hannah Seal of Stanley.
Burial in the Graves Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
