Myrtle Mae Hilliard, 78, of Stanley, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004.
Mrs. Hilliard was born May 18, 1926 in Stanley and was the daughter of the late Harmon Latcher Gray and Rachel Mae Sampson Gray.
On Oct. 30, 1942, she married Emmit Carlton Hilliard, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1986.
Surviving are three daughters, Judith Gayal Painter and Billie A. Miner, both of Stanley, and Patsy D. Burner of Manassas;
A sister, Georgia Maxine Ponn of Luray; a brother, James Ronald Gray of Stanley, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Burial in the Graves Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
