CLAY BANKS

Ole C. Rye, a former resident of this town but for the past three years living in the town of Ahnapee, died at the later place on Sunday August 1. He had been ill for about a year with a tubercular trouble. Deceased was born in Forestville on July 28, 1878, and was married to Miss Emma Viste in 1905, the wife and three children, the oldest five years of age, surviving him. For a number of years, Mr. Rye had a store and cheese factory at Vignes in this town, disposing of same on account of poor health. The funeral was held from the Carnot church on Tuesday afternoon of last week, Rev. Jordheim officiating, a large number of neighbors and friends paying the last tribute of respect to the memory of the departed.
