She was born on June 15, 1916, in Shenandoah and was a daughter of the late Charles Foltz and Edna Purdham Foltz.
Mrs. Comer retired in 1992 from American Security and Trust and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Stephens City.
On March 9, 1940, she married Leon Nathan Comer Sr., who died on April 30, 1997.
She is survived by a son, Leon Lee “Jay” Comer of Stephens City; a sister, Peggy Quintrell of Shenandoah; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Sonny” Foltz.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Jackie Battles. Burial will be in the Graves Chapel Cemetery in Stanley
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m.
