Married 19 Nov 1925 Beulah Florence Housden. Sons, Erwin E., Roy E., Earl W., Bobby L., Charles A. & Roger D. Dovel all of Stanley & Randolph E. Dovel of Shenandoah. Daughters, Doris Maher of Potomac, Md. & Kathleen Shomo & Elizabeth Kibler both of Shenandoah. 18 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild.

Burial in Leaks Chapel Cemetery.
