Taken By Death
Clark J. Loder, 87, died Thursday, June 10, at 10:35 a.m. at the Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, where he had been
a patient for a week.
He was born June 13, 2877, the son of William David and Katie (Murphy) Loder. He had lived his entire life on
farms in the Wayland area until retiring and moving to Wayland. He was also an auctioneer and was in the well
drilling business.
On April 8, 1902 he married Estella Messer, who survives.
Also surviving are the following children: Wymond Loder of Berwyn, Ill., Milford Loder of Detroit, Mich., Mrs,
Raymond (Leona) Schumann of Chama, N.M., Wallace Loder of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Paul (Mildred) TeBorkhorst of
Washington, Wendell Loder of Rock Island, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 13, at 2 p.m. at the Cottonwood E. U. B. Church, west of Wayland.
Interment will be in Green Mound Cemetery,
The body will remain at the Stacy Funeral Home in Columbus Junction until noon Sunday, when it will be brought
to the church.
